I forget when I purchased Hayek's 1988 The Fatal Deceit, the Errors of Socialism. At the time, I found it to be a difficult read.

Today, I fairly well breeze through it, and only pause to admire his brilliance and warnings.

What remains of our republic is in deep trouble, and I guess hardly one in ten know it.

It scares me, but I won’t be around to see the worst of it. The real problems will fall to our children and grandchildren.

I just don’t understand why some of the intelligent media people refuse to discuss the real philosophy behind what is going on. I have heard callers ask Rush about it and heard him answer that post-modernism is too difficult for people to understand and that he just doesn’t want to get into on the air.
