When I worked at Kitt Peak National Observatory in the 60’s, the astronomers would go places to observe and study eclipses. They went to Tahiti once but they wouldn’t let me go.
Dogs and cats living together?
“God created the stars to mark the sacred days, and for signs.”
Who associated a group of stars as the “constellation Virgo” that your pet theory relies on? Hint: it wasn’t God.
“Was the star of Bethlehem astrology? Or evil?”
Stars are inanimate objects. Inanimate objects can not be evil. Astrology, on the other hand, is a sinful practice, as the Bible teaches us.
“All the advice you receive has made you tired. Where are all your astrologers, those stargazers who make predictions each month? Let them stand up and save you from what the future holds. But they are like straw burning in a fire; they cannot save themselves from the flame. You will get no help from them at all; their hearth is no place to sit for warmth.” Isaiah 47:13-14
“You are not to practice divination or sorcery.” Lev. 19:26
“This is what the LORD says: ‘Dont learn the way of the nations, and dont be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified of them.’” Jer. 10:2
“By way of answer, Daniel addressed the king: None of the advisors, enchanters, diviners, or astrologers can explain the secret that the king has requested to be made known. But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he is making known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the latter days.” Daniel 2:27-28
Good luck with that naked eye stuff
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Thank you for being rational and logical.
There are eclipses all the time. Every year there are some somewhere around the world.
This is NOT a sign of the end times.
There are many other things that would better qualify than some regularly occurring astronomical event.
Just when you ask how stupid people can be, some folks come along who seem to take that as a challenge.
Pre tribulation rapture? Or Post tribulation?
Jesus tells us in Matthew 13.

Of course you now know, but will you be a man and admit you have Google knowledge only?
It’s obvious that you are not in the mood to learn, so we’ll wait for you to catch up.
One third of the Old Testament involves prophecy and prophets. Do you ignore all of that? Do you read Revelation? Why? It is prophecy. If you read it, why do you read it? If it says in there that you are to be awake and watching, are you and do you? If you are watching, what are you watching for? Christians ignoring prophecy are blind, and Christian leaders who ignore prophecy are the blind leading the blind.
A total solar eclipse will occur on Monday, August 21, 2017. It will be visible in totality only within a band across the entire contiguous United States.<<<
58 years. 58 = Noah (נח) = grace (חן) (same letters).
2017 - 58th Presidential Inauguration (MAGA, by the grace of God)
2017 - 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem, when east met west.
Above Nature
We have noted that 50 represents the full journey toward acceptance of Torah in the 50 days bridging Pesach and Shavuos. The passage through life calls for the Jew to emulate the national passage to Sinai. He must proceed until the natural end and then go beyond it. He must transcend the finite and touch the sublime 50th gate that belongs over and above the natural rules of This World.23
58 = 50
58 (grace - 50 plus 8) = 50 [th gate of understanding]
None of those verses actually mention “Virgo” do they? Or tell you to associate that group of stars with a prophecy from Revelation, do they?
So where does this association so necessary to the theory, spring from, if not from pagan astrologers?
I’m perfectly happy to wait until this astrological nonsense proves false like all the rest. I’m sure we won’t hear much from you on the topic after that.
Just to be clear... Admit that you have learned something today.
And... I am not predicting anything.
“Just to be clear... Admit that you have learned something today.”
I’ve learned that people will go to great lengths to try to portray astrology as something “biblical”.
“And... I am not predicting anything.”
Nonsense, you’ve predicted things all throughout this thread.

Absolutely agree with everything written above. But that is different from trying to figure out when such things will occur. Read prophecy so when it happens, you can recognize it.
Christ was crucified because the Jews ignored Old Testament prophecies.
