You might get one low level Trump campaign guy on some charge just to throw a bone to Dems and say you are impartial but this is not about getting Trump, it is about giving some people a way out(Trump met with Mueller the day before being appointed). My problem with Mueller and team is that he is way to compromised in all this to even go after the real players. There is conflict of interest either way that compromises any investigation. That is what does not make sense to me other than he knows where the bones are buried having seen the FBI investigations.
The second concerning thing was the distractions of the last couple of weeks, so we do to pay attention to this investigation. How big are the distractions going to get? We are being prepared for this though with the Uranium One stories this last week .
All perfectly valid takes, and well stated. Thanks.
I think he is going to indict Manafort in all likelihood. No Special Counsel has ever shut down an investigation without indicting someone for something. Mueller did not hire all these professional prosecutors for nothing.
Whether it goes beyond Manafort is anyone’s guess. I do agree with you that if he tries to indict Trump, then he is truly inviting civil war. I don’t really think his Democrat benefactors are ready to go there just yet.
