My father-in-law (God bless his soul now) was a retired USAF colonel that flew 160 plus A-26 night missions over North Vietnam (in a 13 month tour no less!) back in 68-69. When McCain’s name was ever brought up, he would just scowl and change the conversation as he had nothing good to say about him. This was years ago before McCain’s true colors showed.

McCain was shot down as a patriot and served honorably as a prisoner. His change to NoTrump and subsequent disgrace is a mystery. He is no hero but does not deserve concentrated hatred.
