Actually I think Nixon was pretty good as far as decorum.
OTOH the fact that Trump had to deal with lots of crooks and corruption in NY probably equipped him better for this gig than a law degree.

We all think we want life to go smoothly and pleasantly along
all the time but when we get that we can’t wait for
someone to upset an apple cart.
Mr. Nixon was from a different generation ( still heavily WHITE GLOVE GOPers/gentlemen ) who fought back, but quietly, in public.
