The pubbies in congress are responsible for this. They lied straight to our faces, were elected, then voted as democrat light. Yes Trump made a bad mistake here by not vetoing the bill but it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. I believe the veto would have been overridden. I will NOT abandon my friends and allies when the going gets tough. Trump has everyone in DC against him. But he can count on me for support. Now quit whining and let’s go hang some dims.
I agree with you 100%, these fools that are now claiming to abandon Trump were never with him in the first place. Anyone who knows the history of warfare, be it political or shooting, knows there are battles both victorious lost. There are also strategic retreats, and I think this was one. In this case I think Trump signed it because Mitch McConnell was able to engineer a veto proof majority and because even with all the bad spending there is some much needed good spending for the military. So Trump, the strategist figured with a veto proof majority his veto meant nothing but we do get to fund the Pentagon to the level needed for the first time in 9 years so he signed, it was the path of least resistance.
