Wonder what became of Charlton Heston’s collection after he passed?

Anyway, not an NFA or illegal looking gun in that stash. Too bad they’ll all be destroyed, no, purloined into those grinning police officials’ private collections. They’re not that stupid.

You might take another look. 1st photo, firearms on the floor, 2nd column from the left: 3 or 4 possible SBRs, which I'm guessing are unlikely to have received approval in NY...

I believe Mr. Heston’s collection
was auctioned and offered to other
collectors. SNOPES has claimed
this vault as not belonging to
Carlton, but to an attorney named
Bruce E Stern. I remember seeing
a documentary where Charlton
invited the film crew to see his
collection in his basement.
You are correct in that the seized
weapons will not be destroyed.
