In order to impeach Rosenweezel, Gowdy has to get Paul Ryan to approve it, and Ryan is the bottleneck. Of course, if Gowdy doesn’t go to Ryan, then Gowdy is all bark and no bite.
And that right there is, The Rub. If Gowdy were the warrior that he wants us all to think there is, then he would be in Ryan’s grill every day, all day. In front of every camera that will point at him, using his lawyer speak about what to do with Rosenstein, et al. But, this is also the guy that state the Mueller was one of the best.
First, he’d have to admit that he was wrong about Mueller and that he’s nothing but a corrupt, rule breaking, law disregarding political hack. Second, he’d have to recant everything he said about the guy. Third, go after him. None of that will happen.
The President doens’t have to worry about his future, at least in the financial sense.
Gowdy, on the other, thinks that he can’t make any enemies. And that is where his own, bottleneck is. The President doesn’t care who, in that bunch likes him or not, he cares about us. If Gowdy did the same and brought Rosenstein, Mueller, et al to their knees, no matter how bridges he burned or enemies he made, he’d be taken care of.
