I feel horrible for you.
If misery loves company, I went through that once, as well. I was held at gunpoint for a half-hour, about 20 years ago, when I lived down in the LA area. That included time being told to get on the floor, and that I'd be shot if someone didn't remember a safe combination.
I was super wound up the night after, and then the whole week after. Before long, I moved out of the area, up to the Silicon Valley, because those kinds of things are less likely up here.
