I liked Kavanaugh the least of the people who were on the short list for this spot on the SC. A point in his favor is that he may be pretty strong on the 2nd Amendment. And at the very least, he’ll be light-years better than a Hillary pick would have been.

I remember reading that he was nominated because he was felt to be the most easily confirmable given the narrow GOP majority. Who (but the perpetrators of the smear) could have predicted such a circus?
