In fact, the whole “will she or won’t she” thing is looking like it was a setup (similar to Hillary at the 2008 Democratic convention) to get people to watch, in this case maybe arranged by the Republican leadership and Collins together, to get people to watch her very long-winded pitch for why Kavanaugh should be confirmed. Unfortunately her pitch is basically ‘don’t worry: he won’t overturn Roe v. Wade.’
She’s starting to make me wish she’d just vote ‘no’ after all.

I believe this awful trial will have the effect of turning Kavanaugh much, much more conservative once he's on the Supreme Court.
