Actually, and fittingly, it was probably Cuban sympathetic voters who kicked GD Clinton and his dipshit VP Gore in the nuts when it came to GWB’s overall presidential victory. Hanging chads and all that, remember? Democrats really helped tip the balance, and the picture of Johnny Jackboot pointing his assault rifle in Elian Gonzales’ face swung it in the final analysis, IMO.
Yup—of course FL was so close that year that _everything_ gets credit for deciding the race. ;-)
To me the Elian picture is symbolic of the Democratic Party—who they are, what they want, why they must be defeated.
