Normally, Brandolini’s law – a.k.a. the falsehood asymmetry principle – imposes that a conspiracy like this takes hard work to debunk.

But, in our case, it does not. It is extremely simple to debunk.

HYPOTHESIS

Let’s start with the hypothesis that some nucleotide sequences of HIV-1 can be found in the complete genome of SARS-CoV-2.

No, SARS-CoV-2 does not contain HIV genetic code!

Publicly formulated the first time in January 2013 by Alberto Brandolini, an Italian programmer, the bullshit asymmetry principle (also known as Brandolini's law) states that: The amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it.

Here’s what he actually said...

“The genetic material of the virus is a long ribbon of RNA, correct? Like DNA, except it’s RNA and in this long ribbon at a certain place someone placed a small sequences of HIV and this small sequence isn’t small like insignificant; they have the possibility of modifying, for example, something called antigenic sites. That means, if we want to make a vaccine, we can very well modify the protein for the vaccine by adding a small sequence from another virus.”

The link you posted in 51, has a logical argument for why the French Doctor is wrong.

However, I’d want to see what sequence the French Doctor is talking about before I’d fully accept the BLAST argument.

I though you had jumped on the “DNA’ in the title argument is why I initially reposted the French Doctor’s statement.

Third Sequence: COVID-19: AATGGTACTAAGAGG = HIV-1 isolate 19663.24H9 from Netherlands envelope glycoprotein (env) gene, sequence ID: GU455503.1

It looks like they are getting very specific on the sequences in this article. Notice the comment from the guy from New York Medical college below the article.
