I used to go there often, back in the day. He even had a link to FR for quite some time.

I originally found the Free Republic from a link at Drudge. I haven't visited the Drudge site for a least a decade, though. It got too hard to navigate, too many ads.

Thing is Matt Drudge supposedly sold his DR, and I am sure he is VERY WELL compensated.

However, the problem is that the reputation gets sullied. Both his name and the baby he created.

Or it could be the biases you assign to those posts. Drudge posts things that are important to conservatives... it doesn't mean he's saying "here we/I should support this"...

True, but I don’t think that is the case of Drudge, and what people are talking about here.

It is also true that lies and viewpoints from the Left need to be seen, but we get plenty of opposition information on the other side all the time in a firehose from the Media, from hundreds of Leftist sources, we don’t need Drudge to aggregate ALL of the Leftist view, slanting it to the Left without providing the conservative counterpoint.

I honestly never saw anything on Drudge that wasn’t already here, or soon here. It never made sense for me to go these when the news stories most important to me are right here, on Free Republic.
