Texas Mask Mandate
Me | 9/14/2020 | Rick Chollett

Posted on 09/14/2020 4:17:10 PM PDT by rfreedom4u

Today I went into our local grocery store (HEB) without a mask. The young guy at the entrance asked me if I had a mask. I said, "No thank you" and kept walking. He just nodded his head and looked away. As I left the store I stopped to ask him what they were told to do in that situation. He said they were told to let the maskless person go in. He tried to tell me that it was a state law (which I educated him that it isn't). Then he tried to tell me it was a mandate from the governor (which it is). I told him that a mandate is not enforceable and he said that they were told the police would give people without masks a ticket. I then said that the ticket would not be enforceable as no law/ordinance has been passed requiring a mask. He ended with, "They want us to ask people to wear a mask to cover ourselves in case it escalates." I thanked him for the conversation and went my way. Next time I see a cop I plan to ask them about it.

Why are you afraid to wear a mask?

Why are you eager to comply with unconstitutional edicts from power mad tyrants?

They don’t work. They are just a way of testing the sheeple to see if they can get universal compliance with nonsensical tyrannical edicts.

If they can get you to wear a mask, they can convince you to climb into a cattle car or order others to do so.

Good for all of you rebels. I am a rebel too, but I am wearing a mask and washing my hands. Have you seen some of the people in stores? Some don’t look too clean. Seriously, my husband just had very very major surgery. I love him. I will wear the mask. I saw older doctors saving my husband’s life wearing four masks one on top of the other in the hospital. I guess they think it helps.

Just remember these businesses if and when things turn around.

My wife and I have refused to buy any GM cars and trucks because of an incident that happened in 1987. And we will never again.

Also, you know what hurts brick and mortar businesses the most? If you buy online.

As consumers, we have ways of fighting back.

Buy everything on line!!!!

I think it says we can stop wearing the mask when there’s less than 20? 29? cases in the county.

That will never happen whilst money is being made off Covid.

The comments to another covid story chaps my rear.Good grief, the fella made his regular pay, unemployment and federal money. Blows my mind.

If you don’t like what the business is doing, don’t give them your custom, you certainly have the freedom to do so. I support my retailer friends who are stuggling to stay in business. If you don’t agree with what they are doing, run them out of business. Plenty more where they came from.

Governor of Colorado just extended his mask order for 30 more days. But that’s not the worst of it. The worst of it is, the order expired 2 weeks ago and no one noticed. All the signs stayed up and mask wearers kept right on wearing their masks.

They are fully trained now.

Fear is not your friend. Fear is a tool of the devil. It is also the prime tool of tyrants.

The mask is not going to save you. Eventually you are going to be exposed to the virus. You may get sick or you may have natural immunity to it.

The mask is just a symbol of your compliance.

Most of the people I know that have contracted the disease wore their masks religiously and social distanced.

I wear it sporadically and don’t practice social distancing. I’m supposedly at risk for at least 3 medical conditions. I have no fear of this disease. I fear the government.

God knows the number of my days. He knows yours too. Neither of us can change that. The masks will not extend your life for one minute.

There is no proof that wearing masks has saved a single life.

Maybe if you wore a full hazmat suit, you might not get the disease right away, but you are eventually going to be exposed to the virus. You can’t wear a hazmat suit 24/7.

If there is one thing that I have learned from this pandemic is that I don't need local businesses for nonessential items. I can order most everything I need online. I can usually save money too. Heck, even some essential items can be purchased on line and picked up.

Best of all I don't have to deal with the mask hassle while buying online and can I save gas and wear and tear on my car.

Local businesses should take note.

I’m in Florida on the border between a county that has a public mask mandate and one that doesn’t. The county that doesn’t has signs that say there is a county ordinance, and I’ve walked through their stores without a word spoken. Go to the other county, however, and they’ll go so far as to call the sheriff for someone not following the ordinance. I don’t bother going to that county.

For years I wore a mask in operating rooms. Masks protect the patient on the table from being exposed to bacteria that others in the OR might be exhaling.

From the medical lit I’ve read a large part of the viral load, because of it’s small size, isn’t stopped by the mask.

Tucker tonight talked about how Sweden handled the virus. They never did mask and from what I can tell little social distancing. They’ve turned the corner.

This is just politics in the social media age. Pravda is now on steroids.

In June I spent a week in Indy. Went to the grocery store one afternoon, no masks. (I got to see strangers smiles!!! It was great!) Few days later went early in the morning and everyone had a mask except me, NO KARENS!!!

Maybe you don’t need a Republic either. Certainly a central government, not answerable to the people can provide you everything that you need. Have a good life.

Yep....masks are pretty much useless, for the general population to be wearing.

My elderly inlaws have been going out and about, as they always have, without masks, throughout this entire scamdemic.

They both have underlying conditions, but have both done just fine.

I think WE have taken more precautions than they have!!

A lady at one store, this morning, just had on a clear face shield. At least you can see people’s smile, that way. I may do the same.

Wear the mask.
Take the vaccine.
Bend the knee.

Bunch of submissive sheep.

Thats true but they have to go get the maskless rebel with groceries (make a scene) and toss them out then put all the groceries back up and lose the sale.
A bit of a quandry isn’t it?

I was shocked how much joy I found in a strangers smile.

We are changing from a social interaction society to a social media society.

It ain’t gonna end well.

One of my kidlets went to grad school in the Scotland for the past 5 years so I started to read EU news. NONE of the bad news there was showing up here. (One New Years in Germany over a thousand women were sexually assaulted by muslim and we heard nothing.)

Now we hear EU news. How convenient.
