By my calculation, the minimum number of post-season games back then was seven. Assuming series sweeps, there would be three games in the league championship and four in the World Series. Am I missing something?
I winced when I saw the pic you posted of Brooks Robinson. He had just robbed my boyhood hero, Johnny Bench, of a base hit.
