I think it’s over. No way those two - fearing their lives, their families, their homes - are going to vote not guilty.

No way the other ten will budge. Mistrial.

More interesting is the actions of the state resulting in a mistrial because they certainly earned one.

IDK if it’s possible, but can the judge set aside a verdict or non-verdict and rule summarily?

As long as the jury isn’t polled it could give them all plausible deniability. Still no guarantee the nimrods in the DA’s office won’t refile.
