I remember listening to Vin Scully broadcast Dodger games as a boy on my little transistor radio in the early 1960s. Absolutely the best sports announcer of all time.

I do, too. I had a tiny radio shaped like a satellite that could get only two stations--KFI and KRLA, whose 50,000-watt transmitters were only a few miles away. KFI carried the Dodgers, and I listened to Vin Scully announce their games every night.

I use to live a few miles from the KFI transmitter and the telephone wires in my apartment building used to pick up the signal and occasionally tripped my answering machine recording what was on

Ironically the 1st time I ever heard Rush Limbaugh was on my answering machine for 2 hours
