The "donor community" has freed DeSantis to take conservative stands on issues of no importance to them. COVID vaccine is one of those issues - along with Drag Queen story hour, gay propaganda before middle school, "wokeness", etc. In the big picture of global transformation, none of that matters.

What you will not hear DeSantis dispute is:

1) The "rules-based international order"
2) The deprecation of American sovereignty to trans-national organizations
3) The righteousness of foreign wars for the benefit of alien peoples.
