As expected, the Florida Senate has passed the Ron DeSantis is a liar law, permitting the Florida Governor to run without resigning, by a vote of 28-12.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FLV) – The Florida Senate approved an election overhaul bill Wednesday 28-12, which included a clarification to the “resign-to-run” law. The change would exempt officeholders seeking the position of U.S. president or vice president from the state’s “resign-to-run” law. (read more)

Meanwhile, NBC is breaking exclusive news the Ron DeSantis team plan to launch the official announcement mid-May. Several weeks ago, after one of the official campaign contractors was hired, CTH shared what NBC is now confirming.

I don’t have a problem with this at all. It’s a states rights issue as far as I’m concerned.

I still have MAJOR heartburn with the money crowd lining up to push DeSantis. Anyone paying attention should at least be intellectually curious on the topic and do their homework.

I reread what you said. I see you were merely stating what happened.

What are your thoughts on these topics?

Do primaries gain more voters or destroy candidates (including the winner)?

If a candidate knows they are losing the primary regardless, what motivates them to run anyway?

A. Exposure
B. Damage Trump
C. Clueless

Before answering, reflect on past primaries both Dem and Rep. Fly-by voters do not watch primary debates. And for the ‘we don’t coronate crowd’, there were no rep primary debates 2020 despite 3 unknowns running.

Conclusion, ask yourself what is the underlying motive here. In my book, DeSantis cares nothing about the voters, only his ambitions……just like every other politician.

DeSantis just destroyed the 1st Amendment.
It is now against state law to criticize the poobahs at the ADL or Israel under the guise of “hate speech.”
Up to 5 years in prison.
Signed it while in Israel.
I’ll never voter for DeathSantis, I don’t care if Hillary is the Democrat nominee.

No prob.....as a Florida resident I have selfish reasons for not having a problem with it.

Should he actually decide to run and fail he comes back as Governor......I have absolutely no problem with that at all.

Regarding what a lot of people are saying, as far as I’m concerned Ron DeSantis is a top notch Governor.

He really protected the people of Fla. from the draconian covid mandates and was on top of all the hurricanes we’ve had.

Including Trump, whether you like it or not.

“DeSantis just destroyed the 1st Amendment.

That’s TOTAL BULLSH*T! That is NOT what the law says, that is what the little Nazi kiddies on the Internet say it says about insulting Jews. We now know where you get your “news”.

He has no principles, of course he’’ll sign it. He lied about focusing on a 2nd term if reelected, completely controlled by Paul Ryan & the Bushes, and now just destroyed the 1st Amendment on foreign soil.

Correct. It’s such a massive red flag for me. I have said it before...I actually like DeSantis. I really want to like him more. I LOVE the things he is doing in Florida.

His backers made me pump the brakes and take a deeper look at what is going on behind the scenes. The Republican party is absolutely as corrupt as the democrat party. This much I have come to realize over the last 6 years.

Yep...before that, I was very naïve. Trump opened my eyes.

Once you see things, you can’t unsee them.

With DeSantis?? I would love to be wrong.

Nope. Any, and I mean ANY criticism of Jews will be deemed hate speech and is punishable under this anti-1st Amendment & unconstitutional law. Actual violence against Jews is already against the law and of course I condemn any violence against them.

You’ve never even read the 7 page law to say such a little Nazi thing.

Just stay out of Florida, you idiot.

I like that he has done so much for Fla.

He is playing spoiler hired by the deep state.

He takes out both candidates.

Good Job Ron, here is your new savings trust.
