“Life” is probably the best rock autobiography of them all.

The LIVE version of ‘Gimme Shelter’ (Amsterdam, 1995) with Lisa Fischer is seven kinds of awesome.

Sympathy for the devil
Dead flowers
Wild horses
You can always get what you want
Anything leading with a Keith Richard’s guitar intro. To me he sets the tone for the excitement of a stones song
My non rift references above are to recognize the ability of the band to go lower key but still capture you with their lyrics.

The Rollings Stones are a very good blues-based "garage style" rock and roll band. They are at their best when they are playing down and dirty blues-infused rock and roll.
Their best tracks are not what you hear on the radio.
"Rocks Off" from Exile on Main Street exemplifies this.

My favorite? Damn near every one of them. I don’t know how to pick a favorite. Just too hard. Maybe I can come up with my top 10 faves by the Stones, but just one? Not even gonna try.

A favorite is hard to pin down for me.
Back in the day I worked concerts with these guys numerous times. One of the most memorable was at Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe, AZ, 1981. This was one location were the movie "Let's Spend the Night Together" was shot.
I think I cleaned out every helium tank in the Phoenix area to fill all those balloons...;O)
