I'm not saying this type of confinement is cruel/unusual (I don't know if it is). But make no mistake about what this man did. He was on the front line going over a barricade manned by federal law enforcement officers. One of them, a female, suffered a severe concussion as a result of this man's actions. It is true that this man helped the injured Officer get to safety after she was injured, but he caused the injury in the first place.

The Constitution requires a speedy trial, Custom provides him with bail unless he is danger to others or a risk of flight.
In no case is torture or abuse legal.

I don’t care if he murdered someone. If he is being kept in the conditions described and shown in those photos, that is disgraceful, inhuman and unworthy of our justice system.
He has a right to be kept in humane conditions and get a speedy trial where his guilt can be argued and decided. Holding someone in jail for two and a half years pending trial is far too long.
