WAX: Jealous DeSantis Campaign Has Turned Into 2024 GOP Sabotage Op
The National Pulse ^ | 09/07/2023 | GAVIN WAX

Posted on 09/14/2023 8:06:40 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

The only Republican reasonably believed to pose a legitimate threat to Trump was Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, whose momentum swelled after his success in Florida during the 2022 midterms. After momentarily winning over the globalist donor class, DeSantis saw a chance to rise to the top of the GOP. What has happened since is catastrophic for the Florida governor.

His campaign has imploded spectacularly, with plenty of examples of the candidate looking cold, awkward, and unable to connect with voters. This was exemplified by a middling performance at the first Republican debate, and as DeSantis makes his way around Iowa, voters actually seem to get less impressed. When he isn’t performing his Trump impression, his repellent lack of charisma and charm is exposed.

DeSantis and his minions signaled he would position himself as a more mature version of Trump – better able to effectuate the laudable goals of the MAGA movement. That lie has collapsed already, with Team DeSantis having recently launched an assault on MAGA voters, revealing a palpable disdain for Trump supporters and the America First cause. DeSantis has revised history, insulted his potential base, and demonstrated a tone-deaf arrogance that has proven Trump’s “DeSanctimonious” moniker to be more than true.

The Florida Governor has stumbled into the “Never Trump” trap that fails abysmally for countless Republicans. As a result, his campaign’s entire strategy has shifted, now resting on the illicit probe from the Department of Justice and various Marxist state governments against Trump.

He has now stated the 2020 election was not fraudulent, effectively calling the thousands of front-line patriots who observed fraud in polling centers liars. DeSantis told the millions of America First faithful that their lying eyes deceived them as the vote count was mysteriously halted, ballots were spiked, and all real investigations were suppressed by the state. This embrace of the Biden regime narrative is wholly disqualifying.

Now, according to DeSantis’s most recent talking points, it is Trump’s own fault the 2020 election was stolen, because he signed into law the CARES Act, which passed overwhelmingly in Congress, and gave states desperately needed relief during the most unknown period of the Chinese Communist Party’s viral pandemic. It’s worth noting the CARES Act – indeed supported by DeSantis at the time – passed with a strong enough majority to easily override any potential Trump veto.

DeSantis’s doublespeak doesn’t stop there. He once praised the White House COVID team, including the reviled Mengele-esque “doctors” Anthony Fauci and Deborah Birx, as well as instituting brutal lockdowns across Florida. He has consistently white-washed his own record while faulting President Trump, and on the issue of COVID jabs, it is the same story. DeSantis urged full compliance, praised Operation Warp Speed, and showed no signs of objecting to any of President Trump’s policies. He now cynically masquerades as an anti-vax crusader on the campaign trail.

Just as bad, DeSantis supporters on social media operate under the same double standards. Trump is pilloried for hiring Christopher Wray as FBI Director even though DeSantis publicly lauded that decision at the time. Trump is slammed for winning the support of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) while DeSantis is given a pass for his effusive praise of Paul Ryan and Jeb Bush. The list goes on. And it’s killed Ron’s campaign, and possibly his entire future.

This slash-and-burn approach is beginning to look like intentional sabotage designed to aid Joe Biden and abet his Democratic Party.

Sen. Ted Cruz fought Trump ruthlessly in 2016, but did so when the two men were relative political equals. He did not owe his political stardom to Trump, as DeSantis does. The treachery of Ron’s opportunism time cannot be overstated.

DeSantis has disqualified himself not only for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 but also for consideration in future presidential elections. Through hubris and envy, he has transformed himself into a ‘MAGAkaze’ pilot, embarking on a suicide mission against the America First movement on behalf of the globalists, RINOs, and political establishment. He and his inner circle will certainly be tens of millions of dollars richer because of this calculated decision, but DeSantis will never regain the honor and glory he scuttled. Nor will ever be seated in the White House.

Could this be a repeat of 2008 with many in the Republican establishment trying to sabotage McCain/Palin. I think Romney was part of that effort.

this sounds like morons making nonsense claims again

nonsense claims like Trump pretending he wasn’t a Fauci ass kisser. nonsense claims like Trump saying he didn’t have anything to do with the Presidential Commendations given to Fauci.

those type of nonsense claims

If I recall from news reports yesterday or earlier this week, these are Republican Party attorneys and not current DeSantis attorneys and either way is not tied to or paid for by DeSantis. Nice try thought but no more successful that same posts yesterday.

Sadly true. DeSantis seems to lack the personal strength to admit that his campaign has failed and to make a clean exit from the race. He is now hoping that he will be rescued by the prosecutions against Trump.

“He has now stated the 2020 election was not fraudulent...”

Except about a year ago he was touting how he helped put a stop to the election fraud in Miami-Dade county. So which is it? Or is there only fraud when DeSantis can claim credit for stopping it, and all the rest is a lie?

That sounds awfully like a stance of political convenience rather than based on facts or principle.

Desantis' presidential campaign is not going well. He needs to come back home and work on Florida, get some more seasoning and try again in 2028.

I say this as a DeSantis supporter. Both Trump and DeSantis need to finish what they started.

You have no clue if Duh-Saintis has had recent communication with these people.. or IF he spirited off an aide or bed partner to have contact…. Having his travel records secreted away is not full disclosure like the ‘sunshine’.

Normally, whomever is the incumbent VP is the presumed nominee, so if DJT wins in 2024 why wouldn’t his incumbent VP be the presumptive nominee?

I keep hearing this “wait until 2028” but it makes zero sense

Why do you keep posting this National Pulse garbage about Governor Desantis?

This type of made-up BS is worthy of MSNBC and CNN? Can you name one Republican governor that is better than Ron DeSantis? Do you object to his policies? If so, please explain what part of his conservatism that you oppose.

How hard is it to understand that for our candidate (legitimate President DT) to win, he must have DeSantis voters to vote for him. Such a post makes sense if one believes Governor DeSantis can beat President Trump. Is that the belief of the National Pulse posters?

Another logical reason is that the posters of this garbage ae progressive Marxists who want to harm DeSantis via the article’s lies and hurt Trump by alienating the Desantis vote. They are always looking for 2’fers - and the National Pulse is providing it to them.

So stop trying to “help” President Trump by running down Governor DeSantis. Both men are truly on our side.

Shame on you for squeezing in adulterous lies. Maybe we should spend time reviewing Trump’s well documented adulatory, payoffs, even court actions. Plus pending settlement from recent conviction. DeSantis, by all accounts is a loving and devoted husband and father.

So stop trying to “help” President Trump by running down Governor DeSantis. Both men are truly on our side.

I see your problem.

Let me help you out here.

You're building on a very shaky foundation, An assumption that DeSanctimonious is on "our" side.

It depends on what you mean by "our" side:

If by that you mean MAGA, then you could not be more wrong. DeSantis's record in congress clearly paints him as a Globalist / NeoCon. Furthermore, DeSantis is in bed with the GOP-E, Globalists, and Neo-Cons. Where do you think the vast majority of his campaign money has come from?

In no sense should you consider them on our side. They are our enemies and have no concern whatsoever about your Inalienable God-Given rights. They look at you as a pawn to be manipulated.

Now, if by "our" side you mean MAGA, you have only one choice the Giant amongst the midget GOP POTUS candidates, President Trump.

When you get your foundation correct, this will all make sense to you.

Both men are truly on our side.

DeSantis is indeed tearing down our number one MAGA candidate. The article documents that point well.

I said not one thing about adultery. You have a dirty mind. Go back on brake/break.. you still have no clue if there has been or there is ongoing communication.. Duh-Saintis is getting desperate trying to keep President Trump off the ballot. Primary or general elections.
