I am not excusing the shooter’s actions.

I am commenting that being issued a similar design device, after NOT hearing all the sounds that all of you with good hearing have learned to selectively ignore, it wore on my nerves! I had to stop wearing them, and I am stating that wiithout any wording of otherthings.

I can vouch for the hearing aids let a person hear better and today in public thats not always a good thing. at all.

my father had the VA $5k each hearing aids and he went back to the audiologist every other month because they bugged him so much. he just wore one when he wanted to talk to someone.then took it out.

Yes, that’s a big problem. At first I’d ask my family “What’s that noise?” I’d describe the sound, but they were filtering it out. Eventually one of them would say “That’s the refrigerator “. Or a leaf blowing by. Or a tiny piece of plastic rustling. Things I hadn’t heard in decades.

Many years later, I still do that but not as often.
