Fani Willis faces uphill battle prosecuting Trump,
including federal probe, while staying on the case
nypost.com, By Social Links for Priscilla DeGregory and Dana Kennedy, March 15, 2024
Fani Willis dodged a bullet Friday when a judge ruled she can remain as prosecutor on the Trump election interference case — but she’s not in the clear just yet.
Fulton County, Georgia, Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee may have allowed her to continue on the case as long as special prosecutor and her ex-boyfriend Nathan Wade steps away from it, but his ruling reprimanded their conduct — which hurts her credibility both inside and outside the courtroom.
Wade put in his resignation later Friday, saying it was “in the interest of democracy, in dedication to the American public, and to move this case forward as quickly as possible.”
While she is likely to meet former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants in court, “the DA is firmly on notice that any additional mishaps and missteps will come back to haunt her severely,” according to Georgia State University law professor Anthony Kreis.

The more immediate question is WHO is willing to replace Nathan Wade as prosecutor? Prosecuting a RICO case takes a special set of legal skills (which Wade LACKED) so finding such a person will be difficult.
