That was my question too. Plainclothes should not be doing traffic stops. If two unknown out of uniform guys tried to pull me over and make me get out of the car I'd be hesitant too. It was a planned set up. And it went off exactly as planned.

In neighborhoods like this one “jump out” squads are common. A traffic violation gives them cause to stop, and then check for warrants, guns, drugs, etc….
