Yes...Debka has proven "in the long run" to be an accurate source as time goes on. Sometimes they jump the gun but if you notice...80% usually happens.

Yes...Debka has proven "in the long run" to be an accurate source as time goes on. Sometimes they jump the gun but if you notice...80% usually happens.

Actually about 80% of DEBKA is accurate, but that 80% of what DEBKA reports does NOT originate with DEBKA; they rip it off one of the news channels or a news wire, then don't bother to credit the original source, embellish it a little, and then put it out themselves.

Then not-very-bright people see it on DEBKA, THEN see it on the new source that DEBKA ripped it off from, and run around babbling about how so-and-so "verified" or "confirmed" DEBKA.

The other 20% of DEBKA is the stuff you see on DEBKA and nowhere else; that's the stuff (like the thousands of Chinese troops in Afghanistan, etc.) that they basically make up.

That other 20% is also comprised of things that their audience really gets excited about and really WANTS to hear, which is why the mindless fans of DEBKA around here throw such a gigantic hissy fit when DEBKA gets criticized.
