To: Camachee
brassy sea
in a golden sunrise
framed in turqoise
and white
pipers, like little
grammatical pauses
and exclamations
running and hopping
accentuating
a calm narrative
of endless wonder
as the sun, sea and sky
somehow become new
every morning
and old as the first dawn
of hope
i would paint
such a scene
framed in moments
with you
but am unworthy
to do aught but worship
the ancient beauty
of the approaching
tide of grace

Where we pass,
the momentary
movement of disturbed
air, and the impression
of a changing light,
leaves its blue tattoo
of you on me,
of me on you,
measured, marked, mottled,
held, the radical instant,
ineradicable.
