This question is for the computer experts out there, I know this isn't political or anything but I have tried to find an answer and thought "Wow, I'll ask Freerepublic since thay are the smartest people in the world!" Anyway, I have been hosting Medal of Honor multiplayer games for a few of my friends to get together and blow each other up and last night I finally got broadband and ran it though a wireless router (lynksis wrt54g). Now the main pc thats hosts the games is hardwired into the router but now the only IP address I have is the one that comes from the router it's self. One of the requirements for someone to log onto one of my hosted games is to put my IP address into their game so it can look for my pc over the internet. Do any of you know how to get around this problem?

Looks like that shows how to do it if both computers are behind the same router. I am trying to connect 2 pc's to the same game over the internet, One is in louisiana and one in colorado.. But thank you very much for helping..

I'm no expert on this, but I think the problem you're having stems from the Linksys router's security features.
Access your router's settings at 192.168.1.1 and click on the "advanced" tab. Then click on the "DMZ Host" tab.
I'm not sure (CHECK YOUR MANUAL), but I think changing the DMZ Host setting lets another user from the internet access your computer. It also creates a gaping hole in your Linksys firewall. IIRC, Microsoft Netmeeting/webcam users have this same problem from behind a router.

What's with all the vanites lately? Did the job-loss crowd shift tactics?
