NBC reporters like Bob Arnot (among others, I imagine) were trying desperately to convince us the Iraqi people were not pleased with this development. Lester Holt and Chris Matthews bandied about the notion that Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism (apparently not having read the article in today's Telegraph, "Terrorist behind September 11 strike was trained by Saddam"). Peter Jennings made some crack about Saddam's capture having pleased some people, apparently excluding his own bad Canadian highschool dropout self from that category. And so it goes ...
