I cannot understand how G.W. Bush NEVER brought up Kerry's 20 year Senate record!!! - not ONCE???

He did. He said he didn't like it. He also mentioned a number of recent votes and some back to the first Gulf War. But, in a 90-second format, you have to go with big ideas over nitty gritty. I think Bush did a better job of repeating the big ideas than Kerry did -- although Kerry has certainly improved. He'll probably pick up some Kerry-leaning undecideds. He won't pick off any of Bush's votes -- and he must have some of those to win.

The reason why Kerry probably squeeked out a victory in lasts night debate is that his 20 year record in the Senate - A record of being WRONG on the cold war, Wrong on the first gulf war, Wrong on the need for more funds for the CIA, wrong the need for new military equipment, wrong on the aspect that reducing the number of soldiers was a good thing -

Kerry has a 20 year record in the Senate - That record shows that Mr. Kerry's judgment has been wrong over and over again -

Yet President G.W. Bush did not drive this point home at all!! - He only stated over and over that Kerry's positions on the war in Iraq and consistently changed - (this is 100% true) -

But G.W. Bush should have repeated how Kerry's vision for American Security has been proven wrong over and over again in his 20 years in the Senate -

There were a number of times where G.W. Bush looked like he was trying to come up with something to say.....That should have been his "go to" whenever he was searching for a thought! -

A much stronger showing will be needed out of G.W. Bush in the next 2 debates. Period.
