Posted on 10/02/2004 4:52:23 PM PDT by Isabel9

I would love to hear from all those who are in support of Republican candidate Tom Coburn's platform. What specific issues that he has addressed are important to you and why?

I'm not an Oklahoman, but I certainly hope Coburn wins for the simple fact that it helps keep the Senate out of Democratic control, and therefore offers at least some increased hope that if Bush wins a second term then his judicial nominees will at least get an up or down vote from the full Senate.

That's good enough for me.

I like Dr. Tom because he is anti-newbie troll.

Mrs.FT just told me that Coburn and Carson will be on "Face the Nation" in the morning.

Might be a good one to see if you watch TV.

I live in Oklahoma and am voting for Coburn, mostly for the reasons that Aetius gave - the judicial appointees.

Coburn also wants us to move our embassy to Jerusalem, which is awesome. And Coburn is anti-patriot act. W00t

I'm from NC and I don't know Mr Coburn but if he has an R in front of his name I like him a lot. Why? Because winning the majority is the name of the game.

GO TOM!

Saw Meet the Press on Sunday.....we need to elect Coburn because he will be an excellent Senator....and, keep Carson from getting entrenched for several decades.....he may be passing himself off as a moderate....but, he will always vote with the Dems when it counts!.....Carson seems like a real sarcastic little whimp!

They were on Face the Nation. Mr. Carson sounds like he should be tending bar at the same place Barney Frank goes for an after session drink.

Mrs.FT agrees with you.

She watched 'em on "Meet the Press".

Coburn will get all of my family's votes anyway but if Carson comes across like y'all say,it sure won't help him much in Oklahoma. ;)

I would love to hear from all those who are in support of Republican candidate Tom Coburn's platform.

I spent my first three decades in Oklahoma.
From what I've heard of Coburn on "Focus on The Family" and "Concerned Women Today",
I find it INCREDIBLE that my fellow Okies would even consider voting for
his Democratic opponent.

Add to that two things:
1. He promised to leave after 3 terms in the House. He did.
2. He was reamed by a bunch of @$$holes in the House for continuing his medical
practice on weekend (rather than just dumping them).

I don't care how slick Carson is. Synar was slick as well, just like
his buddy Bubba.

Well, Izzy, I don't live in OK. I first saw Dr. Tom on a tv book review. I went out and bought the book and it was worth it. Having run on the Independent ticket in SD myself, I agreed with his platform. It was almost exactly like mine.

He is not a one eared political cyclops like Republicans and Democrats. He can think for himself and I like his anti establishment outlook.

I am in Illinois right now so I had to vote absentee. I voted for Tom Daschle! It was the only mark on my ballot. We don't agree on anything, but he always answers my mail and knows me when he sees me and what my issues are. The only politician I know who will do that.
