All these pundits can talk for hours but this election has boiled down to one simple thing, FLORIDA. Whoever wins Florida wins this election.
That said, I wish Bush would pull a surprise visit there before people get out of work, perhaps around 4:30 PM. A huge rally there could put him over the top.
The spent too much time in Pennsylvania, they need Florida.
As long as Bush wins Florida, it's all over for Kerry. If Bush loses Florida, we need to get some luck on the swing states.
Watch for Michigan, Wisconsin and possibly Minnesota tonight..
Yeah, an election day visit won't hurt. But, the BC/04 Campaign has 300 paid staffers PLUS VOLUNTEERS in Florida under the leadership of the very competent Ralph Reed. Plus Gov. Jeb is very popular right now and is working diligently for his brother.
The Prez is in Columbus, OH this morning. We really need OH.
Florida by Robert Sayegh In the 2000 election, Florida gave its 27 electoral votes, as well as the presidency, to George Bush by a margin of only 500 votes. Florida will be just as important in this upcoming election as it was in 2000, as its 27 electoral votes are the most of any battleground state. According to the Gallup Poll, Kerry is leading Bush 48 to 47 percent. However, that wont be enough to make Kerry feel confident in this very important battleground state, since other polls show Bush leading by as much as 4 percent (Mason-Dixon). It is still a toss-up, but what we do know is that Florida will greatly impact the results of this election, and is considered a necessity by both candidates in their hopes of winning the presidency. Florida (Senate Race) by Robert Sayegh The presidential race isnt the only thing still considered a deadlock in Florida. With one more day left until the elections, the Senate race is as tight as ever in the Sunshine State. With the latest Gallup Poll giving Betty Castor (D) only a 2 point lead over Republican Mel Martinez, 48 to 46 percent, the seat is still up for grabs. Florida has voted Democrat in both the 2000 and 1998 Senate elections, giving Castor a slight confidence boost. However, this air-tight race will remain one that will be very interesting to follow on November 2.
I don't agree with this statement at all. Florida is what I call a "one-way indicator" -- if Bush loses this state, he's never going to win the election.
If George W. Bush can't win a state with a booming economy where his brother was re-elected by a landslide two years ago, the GOP ought to be out of business by dawn tomorrow.
Should we watch them for a surprise win for The Prez or for voter fraud or what?
Right, so whomever wins Florida wins this election.
I have been so disappointed that I haven't seen more of Jeb during the campaign. He's a popular guy in Florida right now - he should have been out there campaigning for his brother. Other than a Mel Martinez TV ad and a radio spot where he says "vote Republican", that's it. If W loses Florida, I will be VERY angry at Jeb - he should have done more and has nothing to lose.
Actually it has boiled down to Pennsylvania then if that fails Florida, but um, I guess you bought the media hype.
If we lose Florida, it will be a long night. If we lose Florida we need alot of luck in some "swing states". States like Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and New Mexico will need to turn Red.
However, we really must count on Florida. I think Ohio is in the bag for Bush as I believe PA. will be won by sKerry.
Ohio is a stronger indicator than Florida, since I've assumed Florida is in the Bush column. I'm guessing the Kerry campaign has written off Florida a while ago, for all intents and purposes.
Bush can win Florida and lose the election. He isn't likely to lose Florida and win the election -- if Kerry wins Florida, that means he's going to win a lot more than that.
Yes. He should go to Ohio and FLorida if he has time for both.
The was 32 inches of snow in the New Mexico mountains last night, you may be right!
I'm just going by the polls. It seems W. is up 4-6 in Ohio and Florida is still a dead heat.
Exactly. He plans a stop in Ohio and should fly to Orlando or Ft' Lauderdale for one last rally. Perhaps even making a stop in the panhandle as well.
Are you serious? Seemed to me like Bush was constantly in Florida.
He was, but the polls worry me, no clear lead for Bush except Quinnipiac.
