It's a hell of a lot easier to type 'rats' than spell out democrats. FYI, JIC, LOL, ROTFLMAO, and anyother short hand abbreviation fall into this category? Granted we could type 'dems', but the other is easy and oh so fitting.

I prefer the term "Demopukes" myself. Or simply, the "pukes" or "the RAT pukes".
