Don't know anything about it, except it isn't Kansas City

What part of MI is it in? I live in W. Michigan by Lake Mich. and have never heard of Chesterfield. (I think I smoked them when I was a kid though)

I suppose some Detroit suburbs are great as long as you stay away from Dearborn. Then you won't have to listen to the Muslim call to prayer several times a day.

I prefer the less hectic areas with fewer people though.

I actually could not locate Chesterfield on a mitten map. Could you be more specific? What county is it in? What are some neighboring towns?

You might want to post your question on the FR Michigan forum as well.

Gotcha! The sticks. Beautiful area. I'd still post on the MI forum, see if you can find out about Macomb county property taxes.

I'm actually from New Baltimore. Not the sticks anymore. It has been built up quite a bit in the last decade. It's your typical suburb. You should be happy there.

The Texas Roadhouse restaurant is my favorite in the area, btw.

I usto know someone who worked at Texas Roadhouse

I lived in Macomb Co. 1986 - 1999

Richmond 1986 - 1987
Washington 1987 - 1989
Sterling Heights 1989 - 1994
Macomb 1994 - 1999

The entire time I belonged to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
31100 23 Mile Rd. Chesterfield

Good Shepherd is 1 of the many reasons I choose Chesterfield

I plan on renting

As far as it bein the sticks it aint. You must be thinkin of across the border in ST. Clair Co. but even there it won't be the sticks 4 long. St. Clair CO. is fast becoming "Metro Port Huron"

Compared to actual Detroit suburbs--Ferndale, Livonia, Troy, Birmingham, Bloomfield, Rochester, etc--that is the sticks. You'll have indoor plumbing and paved roads but you'll be well removed from the worst of the hustle and bustle.
