(Vanity) If it's between McCain or Giuliani, who will you choose?

Posted on 01/27/2005 7:27:58 PM PST by Patriot814

I know the 2008 election is a while away and anything could happen, but if things were the same as the polls right now and it was between McCain and Giuliani, who would you choose? I would choose Giuliani because they're both modereate, but Giuliani's more loyal. McCain would appease the democrats and would be painted as crazy.

I'm tired of playing the lesser of two evils game. If Rudy or McCain is what's left I'm voting 3rd party because I will have no part in the GOP loss.

I agree with you on Newt, he is a brilliant speaker but the choice here tonight is Mc Cain or Rudy. Rudy wins my vote.

not really.......many people here have different Ideas of what a RINO really is......for some if they disagree on one single issue they are RINO's even though they thought them great a week ago......for instance....Bush is a RINO correct?....is non war spending is not conservative and he want illegal alien amnesty.....so is Bush a RINO too...? I would agree with you on Spector, Snowe, Chaffee and Collins but not the others.......

that of course is your choice....most Republican Presidents and pundits want us to have a bigger inclusive tent but you of course don't have to go along with it.......I understand

If those two were my only choice, I'd buy a case of Scotch and stay home!

If Rudy is a good conservative, he will take Hillary's senate seat in '06.

If she can't hold a seat in the senate, she can't run a presidential campaign.

As far as Guiliani, the 2nd Amendment matters!

I'm not entirely familiar with Guiliani's 2nd Amedment stances, but I would guess that his views would change somewhat between running NYC and running the country.

Pro-gun control works well as a policy in a large urban area (this is where I get inundated with NRA statistics...that's not my point... it works wells as a policy to get votes.)

Guiliani is (I hope) smart enough to realize that he would have to be more pro 2nd amendment to be considered as a realistic candidate for pres, if he so chose to run.

Basically, in a nut shell... stricter gun control policies make sense when you're running a larger urban area. They don't make as much sense when you're running a country with lots of rural area.

Rudy is a gun grabber, if the GOP wants to go back to the minority, start running RINO'S on a national level.

You haven't told me all the info
Who are the Dems running?
Who are the goofy third parties running?
Because I certainly need more choices than Rudy or McKeating.

I know that.
But in NYC terms, he'll take a seat from Hitlery.

I'd love to see him run against Hillary for the Senate seat but in a way you already told us what is going to happen

you wrote: If Rudy is a good conservative, he will take Hillary's senate seat in '06.

He isn't, so he won't run.

I'm calling it right now, Rudy v. Hillary 2006 will not happen.

The GOP better not ask me for any money if they promote Rudy.
