When I am out of the city, I like having instrumental "new age" music playing. If you are viewing nice open scenery, the soothing music helps to enhance the experience.
I've used these as background in home videos I've produced and received compliments on them.
Now, as to pop songs with lyrics, I guess I like what I like whether it's in the car or not. The tunes you named are good.
