Getting rid of my neighbor's car
March 26, 2006 | self / vanity

Posted on 03/26/2005 6:49:30 PM PST by The Other Harry

Now that I have gotten rid of my neighbor's refrigerator, my next problem will be the car they have moved into their back yard.

This will be more difficult. More sensitive.

My guess is that it belongs to the lady's daughter. I know the daughter has spent some prison time for drugs, and that is likely where she is now.

The car is a total POS. You have probably never seen a worse one. I could replace it with a better one for $100. $500 would get her something which she would think is nice.

The matter is greatly complicated, however, because all the daughter's worldly possessions appear to be in that car. I don't want want to mess with them, and I suspect my neigbor man (her father in law) does not want to either.

Therefore the car is in his backyard.

I hesistate to even ask them about this. I could do it -- the car could be gone by noon on Monday. All it would take is a little front-wheel trailer. The s*** inside, which is probably worth a negative amount, could be in their basement.

This could all be done. But I'm not sure I want to get near it.

What does this have to do with Terri Shiavo? You shouldn't be worrying about a stupid car. Jeez...

Chances are, your city has some sort of ordinance against storing cars in backyards...call them, and let them get it moved.

What's the worst case scenario? Couldn't be Grand Theft Auto because of the minimum amount of value? I'm hauling off my neighbors trash for free (without their consent)? I'm doing a public service officer?

Um..is this car ruining your view?

Maybe you should grow some tall trees or a bush or something?

Put on some rose colored glasses, have a margarita, and let the poor one's live there in peace!

That is until they cross the property lines. Live & let live.

Don't you have problems of yer own?

Sounds simple to me.

Simply buy her a $50.00 car and take it to MAACO for a $100 paint job -- give her a "New" car as a gift, cost $150.

Their car, their yard.
Get over your self. You may have stuff in your yard they do not like.

"More than enough. That's why I try to do other things."

So you submit to us that yer neighbors are a greater problem than that which you face personally and need help reconciling it.

That's very lame!

May I suggest you remove yourself from any further embarrassment and request this thread be pulled for humanitarian sakes!

I think the onions can be dug out. I don't think it would be easy, but I think it would be possible.

Supposedly you can eat them.

This is exactly why we live in the country rather than the 'burbs -- so we don't have to deal with crabby and nosy neighbors like you.

Grow a tall hedge. Or buy her a "new" car. Or, possibly, just get over yourself.

Their car, their yard.

Yep, that is right. Next thing you know a liberal neighbor will ask you to take down that repulsive US flag you have been flying.
