Newsweek's recent licentiousness is a perfect example of the "Blame America First" philosophy of the press. It assumes the worst, and is rushed to press before the facts can be crosschecked and confirmed. And 16 people died as a result. To which Newsweek gravely mumbles "I'm sorry".

A++++ the D. xshub was ranting about this yesterday, he is all for heads rolling, and holding the media strictly liable for misinformation put in the stream of commerce that results in people dying. If Ford Motor Co. put out a product that resulted in death, you can bet the media would be screaming for strict liability against them. Information is their product, they need to be held accountable for it.
