Video games: Waste of a life!
XBox Live is mankinds greatest invention. Ever.
While I agree on a certain level, video game tech is what is driving much of the advancement in computers. Much as the space program drove innovation in electronics in the 60's, the technical needs of the gaming industry are creating solutions that have far broader applications. The processing capabilities needed for games can be harnessed for all sorts of math intensive modeling for engineering, medicine, communications, etc.
I currently have an N64, PS2, XBox, and Gamecube connected thru a switch to a Hi-def TV. Each have their own games I really like.
Hmmm... Waste of a life?.... Well I don't drink or go to bars, I rarely watch TV, love to read, and occasionally indulge myself with a vid game.
My faves for each system are:
PS2 - "Final Fantasy X", SSX, "Gran Turismo 4"
Gamecube - "Legend of Zelda: The Windwalker"
XBox - "Halo", "Halo II", "Fable"
N64 - "Banjo Kazooie", "Mario Kart", "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask"
Hey, video games increase your IQ!
Yeah, well, you're gonna
waste it anyway! At least
they don't get preggers!
Really...the military licenses some of these "games" for training applications...
