I wonder what the state statue was that she violated to get her indicted. Granted hiring a stripper is in bad taste but nudity in ones home is something else. Now if she had hired her to have sex with him, sure nuff said, so now what, throw the mom in jail and what will that do to correct things. Then again why would anyone go to a pubic photo developer with those pics. Then again why do photo developers think they need to be life moderators. And as Hedly Lamar would say while looking into camera, why am I asking you?

I was wondering about that myself. I'm sure there is a law about soliciting adult entertainers for minors but it seems that having a naked adult in your home wouldn't necessarily be a crime.

At any rate, I fail to see the damage caused by having a 16 year-old boy exposed to a disturbingly ugly stripper.

Exactly.
I thought it was the new mantra that what one does in the privacy of one's home is constitutionally guaranteed private no matter what.
Right?

Maybe there are some mandatory reporting laws? Maybe there is something in child porn statutes.

The kids may not have been naked but if there were children exposed to adult nudity, it might fall under that sort of statute.

There were more kids there than just her boy.

There were ten non-related minors there. You think someone should be able to take someone else's kids and do whatever they want with them?

I find it unclear just what DID happen. She "danced" (sounds like with her clothes on) for a couple hours before stripping:

"Cassandra Joyce Park, 29, who police say used the stage name "Sassy," danced for a few hours before "the guys" took up a collection and paid her $150 more to fully disrobe, Landon's mother said."

She went into another room for the "adult" show although at least one minor (the photographer) went into the room.

It is what went on in that room that is the basis for the charge. Yet he could go to nudist summer camp without his parents and not face a "minimum age".

No he is not permitted to buy Playboy, but the American Library Association will let him thumb through it all day long (and his little brother) without any chages against the librarians. The ALA's position is that there is no such thing as age appropriate material and that kids should have access to everything in a library (including "adults only" materials).
