Michael Jackson is going to get off. (Pun intended.)

This annoys me because the next trial I wanted to see was every one of his victims' parents being charged with child endangerment.

I'm having to coach a coworker. Today is his 5th wedding anniv, and he hasn't purchased a gift for his wife yet. They have dinner reservations, but he'd better go shopping today at lunch! By the way, not only is this his 5th, it is their 1st anniv since the birth of their 1st child.

yeah, i agree, but they say that child molesters seek out screwed up families for their victims, so as to make them less believable.

he needs something decent for 5 years! xshub is going to hork me off i think. he knows i think 20 is significant, and he is pooh-poohing it, saying 25 is significant, 20 isn't. he also said he has ordered the garden fountain that i had mentioned wanting, as an anniversary gift. i said divorce proceedings will be initiated instantly....

Garden fountain sounds cool, but not as an anniversary gift!

i think he was just yanking my chain with it, i said it was not remotely appropriate for a 20th anniversary. he knows what i want, but it costs a fair amt, so i won't hold him to it. he seems to come through on anniversaries that are NOT as noteworthy, i guess just to be perverse. we are going to do the furniture shortly, so even though that won't be considered annivesary gift (bc that would TOTALLY P me O. don't try to call something we were going to do anyway, a GIFT for God's sake!) it would ameliorate him not going for the big anniverary gift this go-round.

Good morning.
Notice I said "Good morning"? Usually I'm in during the afternoon. But here I am, downing coffee & a muffin. Apparently the exigencies of my job force me to come in early and forgo my usual concupiscent late hours.

Morning!

http://www.shreveporttimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050525/NEWS01/505250319/1002/NEWS
Earlier this month, McDonald told the House Appropriations Committee he would have to declare financial exigency and lose up to one-fourth of the medical school faculty if proposed budget cuts went into effect.
"I am sure we are not going to have to take any kind of financial exigency at the medical school," McDonald said. "We still have needs, but we are better off than we were."

I guess "financial exigency" doesn't sound as dire as "financial emergency".

Exigencies prohibit me from looking up anything else to contribute.

Excuse my distractedness this am - several different exigencies have cropped up in the Gabz/coolbreeze household this morning. Not the least of which is the leaking roof because of the east wind...........

We know exactly what the problem is - but because of the rain the only thing colbreeze could do was anchor down some heavy plastic up there to try and divert the water.......it has helped. The dripping through the kitchen ceiling has stopped - but I am still mopping up water in the family room..it's coming from the base of the wall..........

Thanks. I'm not looking for a pity party - it's just so frustrating.....because the weather last week didn't let him get to that particular section ofo the roof. He's really torqued off about it.

I think we can all agree that it is an exigency and that Mr. Peck requires an exorcism, post haste.
