When he was around two, my son figured out how to remove the childproof caps off the electric outlets. He would then jam metal knives and forks into the outlet in his room. We had hook and eye locks on every door in the house, a baby gate into the kitchen, but he managed to wreak destruction.

I had two older girls, and neither of them thought of pulling out the lower drawers to get into mischief. By the time that boy was in bed, I was crawling on my hands and knees from exhaustion.

Another one was where he set the backyard on fire. My oldest was playing leapgrog and ate cement. Chipped front tooth, and bottom teeth went through her lower lip. Took her to Kaiser Permanente(unfortunately our insurance at the time), and they called the cops. Luckily, Lisa's mom watched it happen, and told me before I took the kid to the emergency room, that they'd call the cops and she would be a witness. I was pregnant with the boy when that happened.

I can happily say that none of the kids ever shoved something up their nose. Looking for change in the toilet, is another issue.

LOL, I glad I wasn't the only one who did that. My device of destruction was a magnifing glass. I was a fire bug.

I remember my mother having to do that for my younger brother (that was the one thing I didn't do as a child). The second time he did it, she said to heck with it, it will pass by itself.
