Fair enough. I will say if you ever feel adventurous, the first book was "The Eye of the World" - sucks you in real quick, tho. It's not quite endless - one book left, by all accounts. And he better not die before he's done, I've got way too much reading and book awaiting time invested.

Actually, have you read Harry Potter ? I recently got suckered into reading the series, and found it a refreshing fare from the old-fashioned fantasy series.

Of course, I'll read just about any SciFi stuff, the Foundation series from Isaac Asimov is very entertaining.

The Wheel of Time series is great but Jordan should have ended it long ago. I think the series peaked around book 4.

I agree about the Harry Potter books. They are surprisingly fun to read.

just finished knife of dreams myself. but the series is going way too slowly now. i don't see how he can end it in only one more book.
for the first time in the last 6 of the series, i actually put off getting it until i had finished something else. (martin's a feast for crows)

I had no interest in reading it. I loved The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, and thought the movies were amazing. I never cared to look into Harry Potter. Then, one night I was terribly bored and the first movie was on cable. I was really surprised. I figured that it was a little kid's book. It wasn't, and the movie was quite good. After seeing it, I decided that I needed to read the books, and I haven't stoped reading them since.

Foundation is on my stack right across from where I'm sitting. Started it and enjoyed what I read.

Not into Potter, though I appreciate Rowling's talent. Same old same old to me.
