AMERICA - The Right Way!! (WEEKEND EDITION: Days 1804 and 1805) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 30, 2005 | All of Us

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good evening!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation’s military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The Tropical Prediction Center in Miami has announced the formation of the season’s 27th tropical storm, ZETA. No, folks, this is not some kind of twisted joke, it is really out there. It also means that if we really did have a name for each letter of the alphabet (the NHC only uses 21, skipping “q”, “u”, “x”, “y”, and “z” due to a lack of names that begin with these letters), the list would still have been exhausted.

Apparently, nature just doesn’t want to stop forming tropical cyclones this year. Well, no matter, the calendar will take care of matters since there is only one more day left, and then the 2006 tropical name list will take effect.

Besides giving fuel to folks who believe that Atlantic storm name lists should operate like those in the Western Pacific—one merely goes to the next list when the first list expires—the eko-wackos are having a field day as well.

Never mind the inconvenient fact that water heats more slowly than land and that the Atlantic has seen a nearly two degree (Celsius) increase this year over last, that hasn’t stopped the chatter. Mankind is to blame; never mind the increased volcanic activity along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, that’s mere coincidence. If only the American’s had signed Kyoto, the number of tropical storms would have been reduced to a more manageable number, say 26?

That doesn’t stop the folks who have taken on the cause of global warming as their religion. To ensure the maximum scare value among the denizens of the world, all aspects are now being addressed—you see, global warming may cause areas to temporarily cool—so we now have “climate change”. What’s next, “environmental instability,” “precipitation fickleness”?

Nevertheless, it isn’t nearly enough to point out that there is a problem (kinda, sorta, possibly, maybe, even though not really), there has to be a bogey man, the all evil that is behind the entire sordid affair, which if slain, would right everything and restore everyone to bliss and happiness—can’t you just hear the “Kumbayah”? Come on, Brother, sing it now: “America is the Evil One, for mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the climate doom…”

Yes, it is being sung from the mountain tops—the Associated Press cannot run a single story on the subject without pointing out that America is “the world’s biggest polluter” (but then, it might be easy to come to such a conclusion when the 42nd President of the United States spoke to the assembled world masses in Montreal recently, after all, here’s the man who single-handedly turned a blue dress into a biologically hazardous toxic waste dump). So that means, without a moment of introspection, that America must stop doing whatever it is that is bad, oh, wait, that means feeding the rest of the world.

Hey, you folks down in Sub-Saharan Africa, you’re just going to have to do without some of our grain and foodstuffs, for you see, the almighty AP has determined the United States is polluting too much, so we have to cut back on producing and shipping meals to you guys.

Europe, well, you’re going to have to do without those nice computers we put together for you. What’s that, those computers help you control your own pollution output? Well, too bad, you’re on your own now folks.

But that still doesn’t get to it. The United States is the world’s biggest polluter because…

Drum roll, please…

The United States is the WORLD’S BIGGEST PRODUCER OF GOODS AND SERVICES. Period. End of discussion. No rebuttals are possible. Finis.

In fact, for every three dollars worth of “stuff” that is produced, either for sale to someone else or the provision of aid to someone else (a “service”, if you will), one of them is produced right here in the good ‘ole US of A. But the AP warns that for every four pounds of pollution formed anywhere on the globe, one of those also comes from America.

Oh, that’s bad.

But, not really. Think about it, the place that produces 33 percent of the worlds goods and services produces 25 percent of all the pollution. Yes, those are the numbers that are trotted out by both sides of the argument—the producers side and the “green” side.

BUT--that means that the part of the world that produces 66 percent (which is everywhere outside of the United States) produces 75 percent of the worlds pollution!

Let’s put that another way. In the United States, we have already, through various efforts and just a general desire to be clean, produce, in effect, 25 units of pollution (input waste) for every 33 units of goods and services (GDP output). The rest of the world produces 75 units of pollution for every 66 units of goods and services.

So, let’s be more like the rest of the world. Let’s throw off those emission control devices from our cars, lets not worry about clean burning coal. Industrial smokestacks, bring them on. Hey, China’s in, after all, they’re special with regards to Kyoto—let’s have streams that run black as coal and smell like well, it cannot be described on a family thread. Then again, maybe we can get some Iranian to tell us how to run our nuclear power plants safely.

On second thought, we’ve got a pretty good thing going here. It’s probably safe to say the United States is not a follower when it comes to protecting the environment at the same time still providing pretty much the economic engine of the world.

Eko-wackos, it’s high time you looked to the rest of the world for ecological damage and, if it is really happening, the cause for global warming, er, climate change.

For AMERICA – The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

This poster over on Roger L Simons blog has nailed it..

There is really no law for Risen to hide behind now that the issue of proclaimed press shield law on the Federal level does not exist. Hopefully some low level attorney at DOJ is now filling out the grand jury subpoena in the name of "James Risen;" your appearance and all of "your notes and handbooks" is demanded for the Federal Grand Jury sitting in the District of Columbia, 3rd and Constitution Avenues, for the first week of Janaury, 2006.

Thank you, Ambassador Joe Wilson, Judy Miller and Matt Cooper for the clarification and affirmation of the existing law. You are to be saluted. Floyd Abrams and Bob Bennett get ready for more appearances before the Chief Judge.

The screw turns; the justfication for a DOJ investigation screams out in this case. This is not some two bit leak case, this is a major spill. Leakers should go to jail.

Lest we forget that the President of the United States met personally with Risen, Pinch Sulzberger and the head of the Times Washington DC office before publication seeking a moratorium on publishing this story. You may call one "ballsy" to turn down a personal appeal by the president at that juncture, the more apt phrase in retrospect is "utterly brainless."

They just keep doing it to themselves. Stalin said something about the West producing the rope that the commies would hang us with. Sounds more like we need to give them the rope. They are doing a pretty good job of hanging themselves.

I like having enemies like this.

I took a historical look at the current Democratic and Repubican strategies and at time when the same strategies were tried before.

It occurs to me that Demcorats never learn from Republican mistakes. But George W. Bush has learned a ton from both parties mistakes.

They took him home for the night and will report in to the Dr via phone if there's a change.

#1 Son left about a half hour ago with the older children.

The big kids were tired and ready for bed. I hope they have a quiet night there.

You are right on target.

If Karl Rove retires, you should be next in line.

We're at war, these leakers have put this country and the lives of our military at risk. The leakers have given aid to the enemy...shoot 'em, of course, that's after a quick trial. Or send them to Guantonamo with the rest of the "fighters" in civilian clothes.
