Have you ever heard Steve Walsh's solo album "Schemer Dreamer"

You betcha! Good stuff. Need to add some of that too my playlist some time. LOL!

or have you heard the band "Missouri"?

Not familiar with that particular group, but I do have another Missouri (from St. Louis actually) group in my list, Head East, my favorite song by them is "Never Been Any Reason", from 1968, and that particular song is pure Southern Rock. LOL!

Our local Classic Rock station plays the Top 1000 every Independence Day weekend -- I always LOVE that!!

Q107 does that on the Canada Day (July 1) weekend, as well as their end of the year weekend. :)

Actually, my favorite ballad is, "You're breaking my Heart, You're Tearing it apart so F*** you!" by Harry Nillson.

I'm currently downloading those songs you linked in a previous post by you. :)

I bought an external USB drive (80GB) that has nothing but music on it. LOL!

It currently has about 2,200 tunes on it, ranging from the silly funny stuff, some holiday stuff, classic rock, some rockin' country, and a few select "alternative rock" and of course heavy metal. LOL!

Now if I can find a freebie file hosting site on the WWW, I might be able to share some for the Canteen. LOL!

"Silent Lucidity" is NOT a power ballad!

Where is "Lady" or "Suite Madame Blue" by Styx?

I have yet to find a free site that will allow the type of traffic we generate in the Canteen. Some folks use their isp's -- you might look into that.

Speaking of which, I made a CD for my folks as a Christmas gift this past Christmas, to take along in their pickup, and my dad plays The Hollies "Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress" over and over. LOL!

The power ballad is the worst creation of man. Ever.

Yeah, I tried that one time a year or so ago, during Christmas. Had a few Christmas songs to share with the Canteen, and each song "choked" at about the 1 meg mark. Obviously they don't want that kind of activity on their server. LMAO!

I might look into getting a "business" account with the ISP, omplete with a "vanity" URL. That might be one way to get around that "loophole" of theirs.

The business accounts they host allows for larger files and more storage and bigger mailbox sizes. (personal mailboxes are limited to 10 megabytes).

I don't know what price you are willing to pay, but if you go for a full bore site, look into NoMonthlyFees -- that's what a lot of us use.

Couple of Metallica tunes I would add to the list as power ballads would be "Hero Of The Day" and "Mama Said" from their Load album.

And well, ummm, ...And Justice For All is nothing but power ballads. ;D FOTFLOL!
