I think Katharine is fake too!!!! I don't like her, she can sing but something about her makes me a little naseous. You know you mentioned how Simon said there were some who were not nice this year and for some reason I think it is Pickler and Katharine he was referring to. I think it is all on the women's side. The only girl I like who I believe is genuine is Mandisa, the rest seem too catty. Of course I probably sound catty writing that. :)

I think that was Palladin who mentioned the Simon interview where he said that many of the contestants seem nice, but are actually very cut-throat. But I had the same impression you did- Pickler. Then, once I saw how tight Pickler and Katherine are I started to think it may apply to her, too. Last night as the show was closing they were huddled on the end of the stage together. If they hugged or interacted with anyone else I missed it.

I also agree about Mandisa. She seems the only really genuine woman. I think Lisa maybe genuine, too, but her personality doesn't radiate out like Mandisa. She's a bit more reserved. She may open up more as the show continues.

My understanding is that the men have all been very suportive of one another and that since the twinds didn't make it everyone was pretty happy. I know that Elliott was pretty bummed abour Sway losing as they had become good friends.

Women seem to get pretty catty when they compete for stuff.
