I played too, I played long enough to know most of the rules that are ignored today in pro ball.

The NCAA is a little better in observing the rules , but not much.

When James Naismith invented the game he didnt envision 7 foot players.The game was invented for us normal fellows.

yeah and he didn't envision shot clocks and 3 pointers either.

3 pointers can be a big problem if the team doesn't have discipline in when to take them. Iowa does, Ohio State doesn't, which is why Iowa won yesterday.

Shot clocks moved the game along. Sure some of the best teams would run up and down the courts, but you would also have those games where there were 5 or 6 possessions in an entire half, which kills you both in TV and in the crowd.

You know, I am only two yrs younger than you - but I am female. I played when us girls did not play the whole court. Remember that?

Yeah, the game has really changed. Remember in college ball when Dean Smith had his team hold the ball, and the scores were LOW? How it all has changed.
