ok..this year is the year of "messed up brackets"
"George Mason will be hyped all week long by ESPN"
They should be, they're the "Milan HS" of college basketball...
Doubtful anyone had any of the brackets after the first round.
Yup. They can use this run to recruit for the next decade.
Daughter went to Bucknell.......she was ecstatic too...for a day! LOL
Damn Texas. If they had beaten LSU, I might still have a shot at the whole thing!

1980 was the last and only other time, I believe.
You beat me -- I'm ranked 171,488th in the Yahoo pool (with 67 pts.).
But I did win a private bet (by 4 pts), so it's not all bad....
....and my Bruins are still in it.
I'm rooting for a Bruins v. Patriots final. ....and although I'd like to see yet another championship banner hanging in Pauley Pavillion, it's difficult to root against George Mason.
"He was at the games!"
Great! Mine was there too! She said all the fans from the two other schools were rooting for Mason too. She just loves that school, she's a sophmore and was sooooo thrilled by all this. She kept saying "we're like a real school now, not just a commuter school!"
It's so great for them. The Wapo has some kind of blog thingy and the one fellow there was saying it's not really fair that after all the work Mason has done to get respect academically that this should make such a difference and put them "on the map", but hey, I guess we'll take it.
Elite Eight was great, Final Four is just....out of sight! as we used to say back in the day.
Thanks for the photo and the link!
I gotta say having kids is just a great thing. This was without a doubt my most exciting sports moment ever, and I would never have had such excitement without having had my kid! The whole fan damily was watching, super cool stuff!
I only had one (UConn), and I am likely winner in both of the pools I entered. (Guaranteed first in one and second in the other - and second only if GMU beats Fla, UCLA beats LSU, and then UCLA wins it all.)

Of course, when Buchannon won the nobel prize, my tuition went up $500 the next day - wonder what will happen now?
(GMU is the ONLY state school in VA with TWO nobel lauriates on staff. Bite me, UVA).
