Orchestrated by whom? There have been a number of cases where suspects broke into houses and kidnapped/murdered children. In my opinion, this was one of the first. After that little girl Polly was kidnapped. I wondered if perhaps this was what happened to Jon Benet.

Someone breaks into a home, writes a ransom note, throws away the first draft, rewrites the ransome note, kills the child and hides it in the basement?

To what end was the ransom note?

Kidnappers do just that....they kidnap.

Nothing in this case ever pointed to anyone outside that home.
